Ameeliya & I will doing 100 Skips a Day for kids with genetic diseases and I need your help!
Every day this August Ameeliya and I are taking on the Jeans for Genes 100 Skips a Day Challenge.It's for a really important reason: We want to help the 1 in 20 kids facing a birth defect or genetic disease, like cancer and cystic fibrosis. We will be pushing each other this August because these kids need our help!
Every dollar raised from this challenge goes to Children’s Medical Research Institute and helps find treatments and cures that will save children’s lives. Your support will change the future for children living with genetic diseases!

Skips/Kms
Evening everyone.Ameeliya and I have made a good start to our fund-raising challenge. Ameeliya is doing the 100 Skips a Day while I will be walking 2kms+ a day.
On 1st August Ameeliya completed her 100 skips for the day while celebrating her 9th birthday. I, on the other hand decided to walk. I did 2kms on the treadmill as my knee had been playing up.
Today 2nd August I completed 2.5kms on the treadmill and Ameeliya completed 200 skips today during the day.
We would like to give a shout out to Pascale Bardawil, Vicki Lamont and Jenny Stenhouse for their donations prior to us commencing.
This challenge to raise funds for Jeans for Genes was Ameeliya's idea. She wanted to sign up and raise much needed funds for children with genetic diseases. Ameeliya is also learning about the different types of genetic diseases children can be born with. She hopes that we can meet our target or exceed it to help with the research to help these children.
We know that not everyone can donate but if you could share our post we truly appreciated.
