Our story explaining why this cause is so important:
2 weeks after Patrick was born, we began tests as his heal pricks came back positive for Cystic Fibrosis. It took weeks to get a full diagnosis and help to completely understand such a challenging condition. We are lucky Patrick pancreas is working, so many are not. And the respiratory complications affect all Cystic Fibrosis patients.
Research has come a long way in 30 years but medical research is so important to get answers for any genetic condition.
I care about the 1 in 20 Aussie kids who face a birth defect or genetic disease. So, the research you and I support today may one day help someone we know, someone in our family.
There’s lots of work to do, but there is also lots of hope.
