Why I’m skipping

The children of Banksia Group showed interest in skipping last week so we thought, “why not?!”

We will work to develop a lifelong skill together, as well as practice gratitude for our own health while helping others in the community who are not so fortunate.

Each kinder session throughout August we will give the children the opportunity to add skips to our group total, aiming for 100 skips per day. Any additional skips will be carried over to count on non-kinder days and any shortfalls will be covered by Miss Vanessa. With teamwork and perseverance, we will achieve our goal!!

Along our journey, we will have lots of opportunities to practice our counting, build our resilience and sense of empowerment, improve our gross motor skills and cardiovascular fitness AND temper our self-regulation even if we’re stuck inside due to poor weather.
