This August, I’m challenging myself to run 60 kilometers to raise awareness and funds for Jeans for Genes Day.
Harvey began having seizures at just 3 months old. It was the scariest, most uncertain time of our lives, there were countless hospital visits, endless questions, and no clear answers.
Only recently, we began genetic testing to understand the root cause of his epilepsy.
We're now in the long and emotional process of trying to identify the gene responsible as well as trying to get Harvey some early intervention for some of the delays it has caused him.
I’m running 60km this month not just for him, but for all the children and families affected by genetic conditions. Every step is for the parents searching for answers, the kids facing challenges no one should have to endure.
