Our Story
For Every Breath
In 2025, our world changed when our son, Brooks, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
As parents, you never expect to hear those words. Suddenly, every breath, every illness and every milestone takes on a new meaning.
The incredible news is that children born with cystic fibrosis today have a brighter future than ever before. Treatments that were unimaginable just a generation ago are now helping children live longer, healthier lives. Those breakthroughs only happened because researchers refused to stop searching for answers.
Brooks is one of the children benefiting from that progress.
We’re taking on this challenge to raise funds for the Children’s Medical Research Institute through Jeans for Genes, so that research can continue, not only for children with cystic fibrosis, but for every child living with a genetic disease.
We are aiming to run/walk 500km in August to raise funds for critical research.
Every dollar helps fund the discoveries that give families hope.
