Why I’m Doing Ks for Kids
Did you know that
1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!
This August, I’m challenging myself to walk/run 100km for something much bigger than fitness.
I’m doing it to raise funds supporting research into genetic diseases that affect children and their families. Every kilometre is for the kids who don’t get to choose their health journey but face it with incredible courage every single day.
What started as my own journey to lose weight has become so much more. By building healthier habits, I’ve become stronger, have more energy, and discovered I was capable of things I never imagined.
It’s reminded me that while we can’t control everything in life, we can choose to take better care of the body we’ve been given.
That’s why I’m taking on this 100km challenge.
If you’ve been thinking, “I really should start looking after my health,” maybe this is your sign. You don’t need to be an athlete. You just need to take the first step.
