I’m fundraising in honour of my daughter, Everly.
Why I’m skipping
I’ve signed up to do 100 skips a day throughout August to raise money for Children’s Medical Research Institute and help save more kids’ lives. Can you help by sharing this message with the people you know and asking them to donate too?Cystic Fibrosis is an invisible genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system.
Everly was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 2 weeks old. Since then it has been multiple daily medications and physio therapy to keep her healthy and happy.
On the outside Everly may look like a happy, healthy, “normal” little girl but she is anything but “normal”. Everly is an amazing and strong little girl that shows us everyday that nothing is going to get in her way.
Luckily Everly is eligible to take some of the new and life changing medications that have recently become available because of the genetic mutations she has, she has been lucky enough to have been on Trikafta for 18 months now and is thriving.
But like many I didn’t know much about CF before it became apart of our everyday life. Not many people know a lot about it and that is exactly why more research is needed. We want to spread awareness for this invisible condition that affects people in many different ways.
There is NO cure for Cystic fibrosis, we will continue to push for more resources to help research and hopefully one day find a cure for CF 💜

There’s lots of work to do, but there is also lots of hope.
