Why We’re Supporting Jeans for Genes

Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club has proudly supported Children’s Medical Research Institute and Jeans for Genes for more than 29 years.
Over that time, our staff, members and Board have thrown their support behind fundraising events including Jeans for Genes and our annual Ryde-Eastwood Run for Fun, helping us raise more than $140,000 for this very special cause.
This year, we’re doing it again! On Sunday 25 October 2026, we’ll come together at Memorial Park, Meadowbank for our annual 5km and 10km Run/Walk, raising funds for Jeans for Genes and the incredible work of Children’s Medical Research Institute.
1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect – that’s one in every classroom. The scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute are working to change that, researching new treatments and cures that can transform the lives of children and their families.
After almost three decades of supporting this cause, it remains one that is very close to the heart of Ryde-Eastwood.
Whether you join us on the day, share our fundraising page or make a donation, every bit of support helps.
Help us make our 2026 Run for Fun another great one – and add a little more to that $140,000 and counting!
