Why I’m skipping
I’ve signed up to do 100 skips a day throughout August to raise money for Children’s Medical Research Institute and help save more kids’ lives. Can you help by sharing this message with the people you know and asking them to donate too?

Here's just one story explaining why this cause is so important:

My son Thomas was a healthy 3 week old baby full of life ahead until he became sick. One virus at 3 weeks old and another at 6 weeks. He started showing signs of struggling to breathe daily. At 12 weeks old (after 4 weeks of testing ) we had an answer. Thomas was diagnosed with NEHI, a rare childhood lung disease effecting his lung function. From lots of Steroids, weekly medication, cpap,supplemented oxygen, puffers and hospital stays started to become our life. 

Thomas is now 2 years of age , the happiest boy we know even tho hospital stays are still in our lives. Severe asthma makes it harder to live free and daycare isn’t fun anymore because we just get sick.
There is no cure and research is small for this disease. 
I hope one day there is enough research to help other children with the disease. 

I care about the 1 in 20 Aussie kids who face a birth defect or genetic disease, like cystic fibrosis, NeHI and other diseases. 
So, the research you and I support today may one day help someone we know.

There’s lots of work to do, but there is also lots of hope.
