I’m fundraising in memory of my son, Luca Harrison Vujovich (23/08/2025 - 08/05/2026) - Diagnosed with Synder-Robinson Syndrome .
Luca's Legacy - Why I’m Supporting Jeans for Genes
Did you know that
1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!
Our Luca Harrison Vujovich was a 1 in 20 and was diagnosed with Synder-Robinson Syndrome an ultra rare genetic disease with less than 100 recorded cases in the world to date. Luca taught the medical world alot given the severity of his condition and we hope by raising funds that the medical world can continue to raise awareness and research conditions like Luca's that are so unknown. We saw the families impacting by these conditions during our admission and specialist appointments at the Queensland Children's Hospital and want to give back to these families and families that will face this in the future.Â
We promised Luca that we wouldn't stop fighting and this is one of the many ways we can show him that. Luca was born on 23 August 2025 and passes peacefully at home with his mum, dad and french bulldog brother on 18 May 2026.Â
This year, I’m taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change lives tomorrow.Â
Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids who need it most.
Together, we can make a difference.
