I am fundraising in honor of someone who was affected by a genetic disease

Did you know that 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!

This year, I’m taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change lives tomorrow.

In 2017 our beautiful granddaughter Ivyanna was born with 3 rare conditions, one was CMN (Congenital melanocytic nevus). In Ivyanna's case she was born with this on her brain. After 8 major operations in her short life, tests confirmed that Ivyanna's tumour was melanoma and unfortunately on the 13th of April 2018, she lost her battle at only 1 year old.Ā No one should have to endure what Ivyanna did.Ā

Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids who need it most.

Together, we can make a difference.
