This is a cause very close to us as we continue in our genetic diagnosis for Alexander's rare condition, clinically to be Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) as we keep investigating different gene panels. 

Alexander since 5m has sporadically has stroke like events 2hr into his sleep where he is that only last 10/15mins but. There we thought Dean was only going to be our special boy where Alexander would be free from this X-linked disease, where Francesca is a carrier. 

So it just goes to show how true 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect. That’s one in every classroom!

So as we lean on all the tools and resources to help diagnose Alexander's gene mutation to know exactly what this is, we're taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change Alexander's live and all other lives tomorrow.
