Throughout the month of August, I'm challenging myself to complete 100 skips every single day in support of Jeans for Genes.

It might not sound like much on day one... but by the end of the month, I'll have completed 3,100 skips - all in the hope of raising funds for children and families affected by genetic diseases.

Working in clinical research has shown me just how powerful research can be. Over the past two years, I've had the privilege of coordinating international clinical trials with the Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer's Network Trials Unit (DIAN-TU), where I've seen firsthand how scientific discovery can change lives. Every treatment we have today exists because researchers, participants and supporters believed that a better future was possible.

Jeans for Genes is helping create that future for children living with genetic conditions.

💙 1 in 20 children is born with a birth defect or genetic condition.
💙 That's 12 babies every minute worldwide.

These children and their families face challenges most of us can only imagine. By supporting research, we can help bring new treatments, improve quality of life, and one day find cures.

As a fun twist, August also happens to be the month I'll be celebrating a milestone birthday. Instead of gifts, I'm asking for something that could make an even greater difference - a donation to support this incredible cause.

I'll be sharing updates (and probably a few sore-leg moments!) throughout the month, and every donation - big or small - will keep me motivated to lace up, pick up my skipping rope, and keep going.
