Why Iām Supporting Jeans for Genes
Quinn was born on 2nd April 2022 at 27+5 weeks, weighing 750grams. She was beautiful šš but only seven days later, we had to say goodbye to our darling little girl - We were shattered, and it nearly broke us individually, and as a family.Ā
We later found out that Quinn had renal tubular dysgenesis, in both of her kidneys. One is survivable, but two... šĀ
Since Quinn's first birthday, I have chosen to raise much neededĀ funds for a cause that will forever be close to my heart... CMRI are instrumental in the fight against childhood diseases.Ā
If you think about it, you would know at least one family... The stats speak for themselves! Did you know that 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? Thatās one in every classroom!
In 2025 and for the third year in a row, Iām taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Childrenās Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change lives tomorrow.
If you see me in my jeans, or wearing my J4G trackies - that's why š
Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids and families who need it most.
Together, we can make a difference.
