This year, Iām taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Childrenās Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change lives tomorrow.

My Little Nephew Spencerās condition - Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) - is caused by a mutation in a specific gene that produces the the protein dystrophin. This protein is responsible for muscle strength, support and repair. The mutation of this gene causes muscles to deteriorate and break down, leading to progressive difficulty with walking and general mobility. DMD affects 1 in 3500 boys and cannot be prevented.There is currently no cure for this devastating condition. You can also head to
