Why I’m Doing Ks for Kids - When my daughter was just a baby she was diagnosed with right uni coronal. We went through the long and agonising wait for genetic testing to come back for my daughter. Love to do I bit to help Aussie kids!

Did you know that 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!

This August, I’m taking on the Ks for Kids challenge - walking or running to raise funds for Children’s Medical Research Institute, supporting scientists who are working today to find cures for tomorrow.

Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids who need it most.

Every step I take is for them. Your donation will help me go the distance and fund vital research!

Last day of challenge

Today is the last day of August, which means the last day of my K’s for kids challenge and fundraising. I set myself a target to walk 60km while raising $750 during the month of August to raise much needed funds for 👖 for 🧬.

Well what can I say, I smashed both my goals. 64km walked and just over $3,000 raised. Couldn’t have done it with your support and donations. Can’t thank you all enough.

Today Is jeans for genes day!

Day 5

Big day at work today and didn’t get many km’s in. 1km is better than 0 though. Hopefully make up for it in the next few days.

Day 4

Well, what can I say, I really have surprised myself so far. 16kms in four days, leaving 44kms to go!

I want to say a huge thank you to those donations I have received so far; Trace, Tan, Dave and the anonymous donations from today. Couldn’t be having with my results so far.

Also those that are wanting to donate, any day is good however, Thursday is donation matched day, so double the money.

Day 3

Had to squeeze in a quick walk extra early this morning due to work and meetings. Just a tad chilly and hard to get out of bed extra early, but I did it! A quick 2.99kms done.
