This year, I’m taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change lives tomorrow.
Together, we can make a difference.
My beautiful niece, Willow, would have been turning 3 soon. She passed away at 15 days old due to alveolar capillary dysplasia.
During the majority of Willow’s short life her medical team were stumped. I would come to work with test results and questions. The kindness of the doctors who offered explanations and ideas will never be forgotten. The support and care from my nursing colleagues was immense, I’m still so grateful.
I don’t work very often so many of you don’t know me but I’d like to thank every one for your hard work, for the care you give every day. You make an incredible difference, you are so appreciated.Â
Thank you xx
