Life can slap you right in the face when your child or a loved one is diagnosed with a medical condition…
George was diagnosed with a condition called “Cherubism”. Until he was diagnosed no body I know had ever heard of it before. Cherubism has less than 300 cases reported world wide making our support, knowledge and treatment options limited. George does not show the typical physical aspects of his condition. Specialists have told us that George would have had cherubism since he was around 5 years old. We have spent many trips to hospitals, specialists and having lots of tests done. At this point in time we have to sit and wait and see how his condition unfolds as there is no exact treatments for cherubism. There have been a few options thrown around however the side effects could potentially give George a life threatening condition with not many statistics to show it works.
Over the past two years since George’s diagnoses the two lesions in his lower jaw bone have continue to grow eating his bone. His last OPG scan was in May 2025.
George would love to raise some much needed funds to help with research into genetic condition that affect kids just like him. He knows first hand how scary and challenging it is to be diagnosed with something that has very little information available to help.
Please support George by either joining his team to help raise funds, sharing his page or making a small donation. ❤️❤️
Did you know that
1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!
This August, we’re taking on the
Ks for Kids challenge - walking or running to raise funds for
Children’s Medical Research Institute, supporting scientists who are working today to find cures for tomorrow.
Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids who need it most.
Every step we take is for them. Your donation will help us go the distance and fund vital research!
