Why I’m Supporting Jeans for Genes
Evie was a born with a rare genetic metabolic disorder called MCADD (Medium chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency)
Evie has been a fighter her whole life even something like the flu or gastro can land her in the hospital and this beautiful girl just keeps on fighting.
I never even knew about this disorder until Evie was diagnosed. I watched her mum for the first few years of her life having to wake her every few hours to eat or drink to keep her sugar levels up amd to survive and our girl has done an amazing job at fighting and surviving.
So Aunty Becky is setting a challenge to be strong like Evie and complete the 1001 steps in Narre North for 31 days straight for our little fighter!
Did you know that 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!
This year, I’m taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are working today to change lives tomorrow.
Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids who need it most.
Together, we can make a difference.
