Oscar was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome just a month after his first birthday. His diagnosis provided some clarity, but also came with a lot more questions. Will we ever hear him call us “Mummy” and “Daddy”? Where will he go to school? What happens after school? What will his future look like?
Every week, he shows us true determination. His weeks are filled with therapy sessions and medical appointments, but he never fails to give us a smile and chuckle to show us he’s thriving.
Oscar is cuddly, cheeky and so clever. He teaches us to slow down and enjoy the small things.
This August, we’re taking on the Ks for Kids challenge - walking or running to raise funds for Children’s Medical Research Institute, supporting scientists who are working today to find cures for tomorrow.
