Why I’m doing Jeans for Genes

We will continue to raise money for the Children’s Medical Research Institute yearly in hope that someday soon there will be enough research for our baby girl to receive a proper diagnosis. 

Olivia is the strongest little babe that faces so many struggles in life. She was born with a 2q31 chromosome deletion and a 22q11 duplication & has Global developmental delay. Because of the rarity of these chromosome abnormalities like many other families we are yet to receive a diagnosis which leaves us with a lot of unanswered questions. I think as a parent the scariest thing is the fear of the unknown for your child. 

Will she go to school? Will she ever be able to communicate properly? Will she ever be independent? 

Lucky for us, early intervention has been phenomenal. We are seeing a slow improvement and celebrate every milestone big or small.
