Why I’m doing Jeans for Genes
I am doing Jeans and Genes Day for our family.
In 2019 our son Charlie was born with Bilateral Kidney Dysphasia and grade 5 Urinary Reflux.
In the initial stages of investigation we were advised to undergo genetic testing to see if the cause was hereditary, after waiting 12 months for answers and tests being sent overseas we were told that it is believed that Charlie’s condition is hereditary but they did not have the facilities available to provide the answers we were seeking, but to test again in 5 years.
As a parent you want answers and to this day we are still waiting for them.
This is why I fundraise each year to help our family and families like ours get the answers they seek.
