Why I’m doing Jeans for Genes’ Bake it Blue

I’ve signed up to do Bake it Blue. This raises money for Children’s Medical Research Institute and helps save more kids’ lives. Can you help by sharing this message with the people you know and asking them to donate too?

Here's just one story explaining why this cause is so important:

There was this girl name Megan who was a healthy girl with slight hearing impairment but when she was 8 years old she started experiencing a change in her vision but nothing had changed, fast forward to when she was 11-12 years old and night time became difficult for her.

She went with her parents to see an eye specialist and he discovers that there is something that has changed in her eyes.

She gets a lots of test done and a lot of them being dangerous along with her and her two parents they got a blood test done. That test came back that she has a genetic disorder called Ushers Syndrome and sadly has no cure but there was so much support in finding out.

Sadly the genetic has giving mean an eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa Or RP for short. This eye condition is a progressive eye disease and doesn’t ever get better.

I’m doing this bake because I want to spread awareness of my genetic disease but also to support all genetic diseases.

There’s lots of work to do, but there is also lots of hope.
