Why I’m doing Jeans for Genes’ Bake it Blue
I’ve signed up to do Bake it Blue. This raises money for Children’s Medical Research Institute and helps save more kids’ lives.
Our daughter was diagnosed at 14month with a genetic condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2. A diagnosis we had never heard of before. Within 2 weeks she had started gene therapy and since has been fighting a devastating battle. Everyone is affected differently and the earlier the diagnosis the better. She isn't even two and has had to go through things no child should ever have to.
