Thank you to everyone that is supporting Team NSDL. We have been meeting every Sunday as a team and working individually through the week on our goals. We are stronger for your support.

We now have 2 teams as we are so large! Team A walks through Sydney and Team B walks through the Snowy Mountains. 

Embracing a Challenge

Have you ever been challenged? For me recently it has been my shoulder fracture that has proven to be a challenge. I have been out now for 6 months unable to engage in any regular exercise. Still with limited movement I have realised that this lack of exercise has had an impact on my overall health. I am limited with some forms of exercise but the treadmill i have realised is not one of them!. As I take each step in this Sofa to 6K challenge I'm not just focused on my own recovery but motivated by the knowledge that my steps are contributing to a greater cause - Childrens Medical Research.

I just did my 1st 4 km walk

I haven't done any exercise except physiotherapy since I broke my shoulder 5 months ago. I have just walked 4 km so am very excited. We have the best team guys! Go NSDL!!

Why NSDL is doing Jeans for Genes Sofa to 6k Challenge

At NSDL, we are committed to skin health, team work and our community so that we can make a difference in the world. This is a wonderful opportunity and we are passionate about raising money for Jeans for Genes 6K challenge. 


Our team cares about the 1 in 20 Aussie kids who face a birth defect or genetic disease. We have patients who suffer because of these defects and disorders and we have a staff member with a personal connection as well. 


Everyone on our team has a connection to someone we know and love.  That's why we're doing Jeans for Genes and raising money for Children's Medical Research Institute. 


We want to give our children better treatments and maybe even a cure. So please help us to help them!
