At age 5, Adeline has never had a seizure-free day.
She lives with CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder, a devastating genetic epilepsy that means she can’t sit, walk, talk, see properly, or use her hands, she needs full-time care.
The future holds promise: if not for Adeline, then for other children and families. Gene therapies for other devastating pediatric conditions have yield dramatic improvements for individuals.
