Hi, everyone.
As some of you may remember, I am living with Stargardt disease which affects the sharpness of my central vision in both eyes. Last year we fundraised over $3000 and your support meant the world to me. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions. From being confused then being sad, but now I am hopeful.
Last year, my family and I went to an eye specialist and heard about a development genetic therapy which may be able to fix my vision. This year, I met a brave teenager who is taking part in the clinical trial for Stargardt disease and is very successful. And I may be able to be part of it when I turn twelve. I am very excited. Jeans for Genes had played an important and crucial role in making this happen.
Jeans for Genes is where people donate money to help the scientists find cures for kids living with genetic conditions like me.
This year also marks the 30th birthday of Jeans for Genes. 30 years of fundraising and non-stop research, bringing us closer to finding cures for not only Stargardt disease but many other conditions.
Your donations will help the scientists speed up the process and will go towards the gene therapy research including equipment needed and their salary for the scientists.
Your contribution big or small can help scientists. You too can help change someone's life by donating.

By sharing my story and feelings, I felt a sense of awareness and community. I learnt how to be an ambassador and experienced the responsibility that follows.
I will continue to do my personal best to raise money for the Children's Medical Research Institute through other Jeans for Genes fundraising activities. Thank you for your support and donations.
